The Bearcat Tracker Analog Scanner comes equipped with Uniden exclusive features like the Close Call RF Capture Technology, which instantly tunes to signals from nearby transmitters; and GPS compatibility, which means location-based scanning that automatically selects programmed systems based on your location when connected to a compatible GPS receiver (not included). The scanner has 9,000 dynamically allocated channels, giving you plenty of room for all of your local systems and system/channel number tagging, providing you with rapid access to a specific system or channel. It also gives you 16-character text tagging for each system, site, group, channel, talkgroup, search range, GPS location, tone-out, and SAME (Specific Area Message Encoding) group. The SAME Weather Alert, during a NOAA Weather or Emergency Alert, gives you a code for your specific location and will alert you to severe conditions in your immediate area. The State-by-State preprogrammed channels let you easily keep up with activity on local police, Department of Transportation, and highway patrol frequencies when you travel, without having to program any channels. Other features included are the 100 quick key system access, the temporary noisy channel lockout function, quick recall, broadcast signal ignore and frequency/ID AutoStore. The Bearcat Tracker Analog Scanner also features TrunkTracker III Technology, so that you can keep up with the action on Motorola, EDACS and LTR systems.
